Airport Shuttle Service

SuperShuttle is a fee shuttle service available at DIA.

Driving directions from the Airport.

The closest large airport is Denver International Airport (DIA). Driving time between DIA and Boulder is approximately 60 to 90 minutes. From DIA, follow Peña Boulevard (10 miles) south to I-70, and exit onto I-70 west. Follow I-70 west to I-270 west. I-270 merges into U.S. 36 west and takes you west into Boulder (about 23 miles). Exit at Baseline Road; turn left (west) on Baseline Road. Turn right (north) at Broadway. The campus is to the right. Turn right (east) on Euclid Ave. The entrance to the Euclid AutoPark will be on your left. For alternate routes check here.

Denver Toll Roads

Highway E-470 and the Northwest Parkway are the primary toll roads in the Denver area. Both toll roads offer two methods of payment. License Plate billing and Expresstoll, if you are using a rental car during your stay most companies have Expresstoll accounts and transceivers with their vehicle. However, before using them you way wish to clarify any extra fees they may add for using this service, some companies charge an extra $2.50 to $8.95 per day when using these. If your car does not have an ExpressToll receiver, unless you are borrowing a car, you may not be able to pay the Toll fees for these highways.

Parking on Campus

The Euclid Auto Park (EAP) rate is $1.50 per hour and is located on Euclid Avenue off of Broadway next to the UMC. After hours rate is $3.00. This rate applies per entry into Euclid AutoPark from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on weeknights, and all day Saturday and Sunday. Other parking options can be found at Parking and Transportation Services.

Finding the Center for Integrated Plasma Studies

We are located in the Gamow Tower of the Duane Physics Complex on Colorado Avenue on the Main Campus of the University. The entrance to the Gamow Tower is on Colorado Avenue directly across the street from the bronze “Ralphie” Buffalo statue and Folsom Stadium. This interactive campus map can help you find your way.

Once you enter Gamow Tower, the Center for Integrated Plasma Studies is Located on the 8th and 9th floors of the tower. You can take the elevators located in the lobby across from the Physics Department Main Office. The CIPS office is located in room F837, immediately to your left as you exit the elevator on the 8th floor.
